Japan to Mississippi...and Back | Happy Holidays!
Well this past week has been a real doozy. We traveled from Okinawa, Japan, to Mississippi, USA, and back again. Got to visit with a few friends and lots of family...had an awesome time but I think we'll take more than a week next time we travel across the world. Cheers and Happy Holidays from the Free Lance Travels crew!
Our trip started on 17 December with a short, mid-day flight from Okinawa's Naha International up to Tokyo's Haneda International, followed by a 12-hour flight to Atlanta (which, according to internet sources, is the busiest airport in the US and the world). After clearing customs/immigration, we had one more short flight to Jackson, Mississippi. After an overnight in Jackson close to the airport, we traveled up to Oxford, Mississippi, to reunite with some close friends that we hadn't seen in years. We did a bit of shopping and cooking...and far too much eating, and then headed south to my hometown of Laurel, Mississippi, where we'd catch up with some of my family there. After a few short days there, it was time to head home, and we loaded up once again for our journey home to Okinawa, Japan. We arrived back home last night, on Christmas Eve, and got some rest. Thanks for coming along. Cheers, gang...and happy holidays!
